For UK readers who are on Vodafone, here’s a freebie from Voda: you can access your Facebook account for free using your mobile phone starting July 24th until the whole of week using Vodafone’s mobile broadband service.

If you have a dedicated Facebook software on your mobile phone or you can point your mobile browser to Facebook.com and Vodafone won’t charge you their 50p flat rate. Of course, browsing other websites aside from Facebook will result in you being charged the regular mobile broadband rate.

It’s not much but it’s good news for Facebook addicts. That’s one whole week of free Facebook browsing!

Here’s another reason for you to shop online. Vodafone, a wireless carrier in the UK allows 7 days return of a mobile phone purchased through their online shop whilst if you buy from their brick and mortar store, you are not allowed to change an item, you’re only allowed to exchange it for the same unit if it’s defective.

A lot of British folks have been complaining about this at Vodafone’s forums, particularly one user who was not satisfied that the mobile phone she recently purchased were not able to do some of the features she wanted on a mobile phone. Vodafone says that the person is not allowed to change the item since she had time to browse the features while in store.

It’s a lousy policy if you ask me. I mean, even if I’m in a store, I really don’t have the time to browse all the features on a mobile phone. Oh well, chalk one up for online shopping.
